individual to fill the position of Business Development
Manager at our newly opened Garissa branch.
The position holder will report to the Director of Business
and Channels.

This is a critical leadership role for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can take charge of the entire business operation, from developing robust strategies to executing growth plans. The ideal candidate will oversee all business functions and lead a high performing team, ensure exceptional customer service, and grow the brand to become a market leader in the tours and travel industry.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute short and long term strategies to grow the business revenue.

Business Development: Business Growth, Development and Lead generation through different marketing channels

Operational Excellence: Manage operations of the business. Streamline and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and high customer service standards

Brand Building & Marketing: Drive brand visibility and customer acquisition through creative marketing strategies. Ensure consistent brand messaging and superior customer engagement.

Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of professionals, ensuring all departments are aligned with the company's goals. Lead people by coaching and mentoring the team.

Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources to maximize profitability for the business
Minimum job requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Tours and travel, sales and marketing or related field.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role in charge of business development,

Operations, corporate sales & relations management, public relations, or a similar role in a tours and travel company.

Proven track record of growing business revenue and managing operations successfully.

Understanding of tours and travel industry operations.

Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a growth-oriented mindset.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Travel Consultant
Key Responsibilities
-
Travel Advisory.
-
Air Ticketing.
-
Visa Advisory.
-
Local and International Hotel Booking.

Tours and Safari Planning.
Minimum job requirements
-
Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel or Equivalent.
-
IATA or GDS training Certificate.
-
Expertise with the Galileo/Amadeus GDS platform and web fares.

MUST have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a Ticketing /Travel Consultant in a busy travel agency or airline.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suites.

Must have Excellent customer service skills & be customer driven.

Should be Self-motivated, Confident, and have an outgoing personality.
Direct Sales Representative
Key Responsibilities
-
Selling and promoting AA Tours & Travel products to the assigned markets.
-
Contacting leads and setting up appointments to present products and services.
-
Building relationships with existing referral sources and cultivate new referral sources.

Deriving insights to competitor sales activities and effectively improve their efforts.
Minimum job requirements
-
Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing, or any other related field.
-
1-2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing in a Tours and Travel company is an added advantage.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Excellent selling and negotiation skills
-
Good presentation and communication skills.
-
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
