    THE TRAFFIC ACT: Minister for transport ruled that all registered vehicles shall be equipped with two red reflective warning triangle signs.The signs shall be displayed to the police in uniform upon request.

     

    AA OF KENYA ELECTS NEW CHAIRMAN

    At the AA of Kenya’s Annual General Meeting held on 18th August 2011, the Chairman, Mr J H R Murigu retired in accordance with the AA’s Constitution after servicing as Governing Council Member and Official for the last 18 years.  He was replaced by Mr Eliud N Njoroge, a Senior Counsel and a partner in Ndung’u Njoroge & Kwach Advocates

     

    At the same time AA Kenya recorded a 9% growth on turnover from the previous year.  This was attributed to a rise in demand on membership, driving school and technical services among others.  Mr Njoroge a long serving member of the Governing Council is well prepared to steer the Association to greater heights supported by the Management and the highly supportive membership of the Association.

    A Membership Fee Adjustment

    For over a decade now, the AA Membership Subscription fee has not been reviewed. Following the ever increasing operational costs, the rates have been slightly adjusted.This takes effect from 1st January 2011.....click here to read more

    Road Safety in Kenya


    Being an active member of the National Road Safety Council of Kenya (NRSC), the AA of Kenya fully participated in the Road Safety Stakeholders Conference on 19th October 2010, at the Bomas of Kenya. Several other issues were highlighted at the conference but the main focus remained on Road Safety.
    This was the first ever platform in Kenya at the national level to deliberate on road safety, assume ownership, take a stand and act decisively, to mitigate the avoidable human suffering and this was underscored by the large attendance of the delegates, championed by the President of Kenya Hon Mwai Kibaki....more

    Touring and Licensing


    Kenyan Government acceded to the Road Traffic Convention of 1968 and the Convention entered into force on 9th September 2010. The effect of the accession is that the International Driving Permit shall have a validity of up to three years subject to the validity of the local Driving License
